Enquiring Minds……

I see from the latest issue of AP that “Desperate” Dan Chung has decided to cash in his Canon’s and swap to the new Nikon Full Frame D3,  based entirely on his use of a pre-production camera loaned for his review by Nikon!

I would have thought that Dan would have been more cautious given his experience the last time he swapped over to Nikon when they released their D1 series cameras around 2000,  at that time Dan was forced to quickly move onto Canon when he discovered that the gear didn’t live up to the hype…..

What enquiring minds really want to know is how is Dan paying for the £20,000 worth of gear which he lists as having on order from Nikon?  As a staff photographer at the Guardian he is provided with equipment by the paper,  but surely even that publication would baulk at shelling out that much based upon a whim, or could it be that Mr Chung has received the gear as a thank you from Mr Nikon for sticking it to Canon?

I do note that Dan has decided to keep his 5D as well, because its nice and light.  Always good to keep your feet in both camps!
